How To Stop Alcohol Cravings Naturally

As a former alcoholic, I love a good mocktail! This may sound strange, but drinking a nice mocktail makes me want to dance and get crazy, haha! Maybe it’s just a mental association thing. Who knows?

All I know is alcohol never changed my health & behavior for the better – it only changed it for the worse. People say things like, “I can only dance when I’m drunk,” but I call bullshit. Men Without Hats told us long ago, “We can dance if we want to!”

How to Make a Ginger Beer Mojito Mocktail

  1. You will use two glasses to make one cocktail; a mixing glass, and the finished drink glass. Store your finished drinking glass in the freezer while you mix the ingredients in the mixing glass.
  2. Pour the ginger beer, pineapple juice, agave, and fresh-squeezed lime into the mixing glass. Stir until the agave is well incorporated.
  3. Using a pestle and mortar, muddle most of the mint leaves saving the most attractive sprig that will be used as a garnish. If you don’t have a pestle and mortar, you may also cut them into fine pieces with a knife or scissors. You may also just put them in the drink as they are. I muddle mine because I love mint and want the flavor to be really noticable!
  4. Sprinkle coconut sugar into a bowl that is a little larger than the top of the pint glass.
  5. Take the frosty pint glass out of the freezer and dip it into the coconut sugar, face-down, so the sugar sticks to the rim.
  6. Drop the muddled mint into the bottom of the finished drinking glass.
  7. Fill the finished drinking glass with ice, stacking it on top of the mint.
  8. Pour the mixed drink into the finished drinking glass.
  9. Garnish with a mint sprig and slice of lime.
  10. Enjoy with or without a reusable straw!
Pestle And Mortar
Muddle the mint in a pestle and mortar, or cut it with scissors. Or, just drop the whole mint leaves into the drink. It's up to you!
