Eco Friendly Sunglasses

Summer is just around the corner! Prepare to squint or shade up! Kudos to our ancestors who survived without sunglasses, though I’m not sure how they did. One of my favorite ways to limit plastic consumption is by buying eco-friendly sunglasses with bamboo or wooden frames!

Why Buy Eco Friendly Sunglasses?

Plastic is Bad for the Environment

According to the United Nations, “Humanity produces more than 430 million tonnes of plastic annually, two-thirds of which are short-lived products that soon become waste, filling the ocean and, often, working their way into the human food chain.”

Yep. You read that right. Plastic pollution doesn’t just affect the natural environment. We are a part of the environment, so it affects us too.

You may not eliminate plastic by purchasing eco-friendly shades, but you’ll be reducing your consumption significantly.

Eco-Friendly Sunglasses Are Stylish

I’ve got a few pairs of eco-friendly sunglasses made with bamboo frames. It’s hard to wear them without getting some extra attention and a compliment or two. That’s because eco-friendly sunglasses are different. They stand out. They’re stylish!

Eco-Friendly Sunglasses Are Affordable

Some people shy away from eco-friendly products because they are often expensive. Fortunately, that isn’t the case with the shades I’ve picked out to showcase in this post! You’d have a hard time finding a cheaper pair at a gas station!

Eco-Friendly Sunglasses Are Well-Made

Bamboo and wood are sturdy materials. Every pair of eco-friendly sunglasses I’ve purchased has lasted years!
