You only need a few ingredients for this recipe. 

Keep your refrigerator stocked with these simple ingredients so you can make a pizza sandwich when you don’t have time to prepare an elaborate dinner.

Ingredients: Use Organic When Possible!

  • Pepperoni (with no nitrates or nitrites)
  • Mozzarella cheese (made from cows not treated with rbST)
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Tomato
  • Green bell pepper
  • Italian herb mix
  • Sourdough bread (made with unbleached flour and no nitrates or nitrites)

This flavor combination is epic! However, it is all a matter of preference, so feel free to switch the toppings up.

How to Make a Pizza Sandwich

  • Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees.
  • Place 2 pieces of bread on a stainless steel or glass baking sheet.
  • Spread spaghetti sauce on each piece of bread.
  • Add pepperoni and bell pepper slices to one side of the bread.
  • Add mozzarella and tomato slices to the other side of the bread.
  • Sprinkle both sides of the sandwich with Italian herbs.
  • Place the cooking sheet in the oven on the top shelf, leaving the sandwich open-faced.
  • Toast the sandwich for about 5 minutes or until the bread has become slightly crispy and the pepperonis have become slightly singed.
